Important Information

⚠️ Before You Delete Your Account

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Please read the following carefully:

  • All your data will be permanently deleted: This includes all expenses, groups, balances, settlement history, and personal information
  • You will be removed from all groups: Other members will still see expenses you added, but your account will be anonymized
  • All earned coins and rewards will be forfeited: Any unused coins, pending redemptions, or rewards will be lost
  • This action cannot be undone: Once deleted, you cannot recover your account or any associated data

Processing Time

Account deletion requests typically take 24-48 hours to process. During this time, your account will be deactivated, but you may still receive a confirmation email from our team.

How to Delete Your Account

To delete your Settlr account, please follow these simple steps:

Send an account deletion request from your registered email address to our support team.

Include Required Information

To verify your identity and process your request quickly, please include:

  • Subject Line: "Delete My Settlr Account"
  • Registered Email: The email address you used to sign up
  • Registered Phone Number: If you provided one during registration
  • Username: Your Settlr userID
  • Confirmation Statement: A statement acknowledging that deletion is permanent

Wait for Confirmation

Our support team will review your request and process the account deletion:

  • Processing Time: 24-48 hours
  • Confirmation Email: You'll receive an email once deletion is complete
  • Immediate Deactivation: Your account will be deactivated while we process the request

What Happens After Deletion

Data Deleted

  • Personal information (name, email, phone)
  • All expense records and balances
  • Group memberships and activity
  • Coins, rewards, and referral history
  • Push notification tokens

Data Retained (Legal Requirements)

  • Financial transaction records (7 years)
  • Security logs (fraud prevention)
  • Backup data (up to 90 days)
  • Anonymized analytics data
