Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Axonate Tech regarding your use of Settlr. By using our app, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.

Use of Service

✅ Permitted Use

  • Track and split shared expenses with friends and groups
  • Record settlements and payment confirmations
  • Earn and redeem rewards through our coins system
  • Connect with friends using user codes or nearby detection

Prohibited Activities

❌ You May NOT:

  • Abuse the rewards system: Self-referrals, fake accounts, automated scripts, or fraudulent redemptions
  • Manipulate ad systems: Click fraud, automated ad viewing, or attempting to bypass ad limits
  • Reverse engineer: Decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the app
  • Harass others: Spam, threats, abusive behavior, or inappropriate content in group names/descriptions
  • Share accounts: Allow others to use your account credentials or access your account
  • Exploit bugs: Intentionally use system vulnerabilities or bugs for personal gain
  • Impersonate: Pretend to be another user, group, or entity

⚠️ Consequences of Violations

Violating these terms may result in:

  • • Immediate account suspension or termination
  • • Forfeiture of all earned coins and rewards
  • • Permanent ban from creating new accounts
  • • Legal action for fraudulent activities

Expenses & Settlements

⚠️ Important Notice

  • Settlr is a tracking tool, NOT a payment processor
  • We do NOT handle actual payments - UPI integration opens external apps
  • We are not liable for payment disputes between users

Rewards & Coins

Earning Coins

  • • Watch ads and complete actions
  • • Refer friends to Settlr
  • • Add expenses and create groups
  • • Coins have NO real monetary value

Redemption Rules

  • • Coins can be redeemed for vouchers
  • • Redemption values subject to change
  • • Fraudulent redemptions = account ban
  • • Self-referrals strictly prohibited

Advertising & Monetization

📱 How We Display Ads

  • Settlr displays non-personalized advertisements powered by Google AdMob
  • Ads help us keep the app free for all users
  • You can earn coins by watching optional rewarded video ads
  • Ads are contextual (based on app content), not based on your personal data or location

⚠️ Ad Fraud & Abuse Policy

The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination:

  • • Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to generate ad clicks or impressions
  • • Creating multiple accounts to exploit reward limits
  • • Encouraging others to repeatedly click ads for your benefit
  • • Manipulating device settings or using VPNs to bypass ad restrictions
  • • Any form of click fraud or impression fraud

✅ Your Privacy with Ads

  • • We use ONLY non-personalized ads - your personal data is NOT used for ad targeting
  • • Your location data is NEVER shared with AdMob or advertisers
  • • Ads do NOT track your behavior across other apps or websites
  • • We do NOT sell your personal information to advertisers

Limitation of Liability

Settlr is provided "AS IS" without warranties. We are NOT liable for:

  • Loss of data or business opportunities
  • Payment disputes between users
  • Errors in expense calculations
  • Service interruptions or bugs
  • Unauthorized access to your account
  • Fraudulent activities by other users

Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Settlr, you agree to our data collection and usage practices.

We collect personal information for account management
Location data only with permission (Nearby Users)
We do NOT sell your personal information
You can delete your account anytime

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved through the courts located in India. For informal resolution, contact us first at settlr@axonatetech.com.

You may delete your account at any time through:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, for:

  • • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities
  • • Manipulation of rewards or advertising systems
  • • Harassment or harm to other users
  • • Any action that harms the integrity or security of Settlr

Upon termination, you forfeit all coins, rewards, and access to your account data. We may retain certain information as required by law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:

  • • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
  • • Notify you via email (if you've provided one)
  • • Display a prominent in-app notification
  • • For significant changes, request your consent where required by law

Your continued use of Settlr after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you must stop using the service and delete your account.
